Veniamin Smekhov, actor, director, screenwriter, and author of many books about theater, including The Theater of My Memory (2001), That Taganka (2010), and The Golden Years of the Taganka (2014).

Galina Aksenova, Professor at the Moscow Art Theater-School, screenwriter, and translator. For 15 years she taught at the Russian Summer School at Middlebury College (VT) where she taught courses on Russian and world cinema and served as vice-principal of the School.

Smekhov and Aksenova will be the Maya Brin Residents from October 19 through October 30, 2015.
